The website Little Fluffy Soul originated as a travel blog to document Inez’s study exchange experiences in Germany and Europe. Moving back to Melbourne, we currently live in the pretty hipster neighbourhood of Brunswick with our beloved housemate and giant bear Henry (we were actually hoping to have a page dedicated to him but he’s just a two year old and shouldn’t be spoilt with attention).
We love food, heavily interested in the flavours and ingredients that build rich experiences. There is no discrimination when it comes to food – especially with our diverse backgrounds and travel histories. It’s so exciting in Melbourne, where we are so lucky to have the multiculturalism and access to some of the best and authentic cuisines from around the world. We are spoilt with choice, with new places to be discovered all the time. In Australia we get such quality produce straight from the farms as well, which really steps up the food game. We’re just hoping to explore some sweet spots and share our food hunts through Little Fluffy Soul.
Inez (aka. Fluffy), Secretly a cat and loves anything renewable and German.
The short answer I give to the question ‘Where are you from?’ is that I’m made in China, manufactured in New Zealand, redesigned in Melbourne and exported to Germany. I’m clearly very confused about my own identity sometimes but I would like to think I’m a proud Kiwi and will be forever – there’s nothing like flying into Auckland and seeing Piha on a good day. Trust me that New Zealand’s just a slice of heaven on earth when it comes to nature and clean living.
I’m passionate about renewable energy, environmental protection and everything that contributes to a clean green Earth. I guess that’s why I want to be an engineer and work on projects that bring about change in these areas. I’m a vegetarian by choice because of this to reduce the consumption of meat and try my best to reduce waste and plastic usage. I’m not strict veggo – sometimes eat seafood and will try new foods in small amounts but I definitely want to encourage more people to consider their eating habits.
Random Fact: I am fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English. I can speak German and am learning Arabic.
